When I moved back to Brooklyn, I was reminded as to how much of a staple cats in corner stores are. A good cat is worth its weight, it keeps the store rat free...and are adorable, like this one, lounging on the magazines on a nice summer's day.
I'm a huge New York-phile. While I was born and raised in Brooklyn, I lived in the suburbs and then Chicago for part of my life and have returned to the city as an adult which has given me the unique perspective of being in awe of the city and its spirit, while maintaining much of that "I've been here, I knew what it was like when, it's home" vibe that many old skoolers have. The people that surround me are a real mash up of born and bred New Yorkers and transplants completely in love with the city. I'm rediscovering this city, from fancy dance clubs and fashion kids, to Brooklyn bike rides, art events and potlucks.
