Socialista

We went to Socialista's second floor, which is supposed to be like oh-so-hard to get in. It wasn't that hard, but it was also the day before thanksgiving, so maybe that had something to do with the easy access. It was kinda fun, and I think we would have stayed longed if the drinks didn't cost a bajillion dollars. I think its worth a second shot.

What I did this Thanksgiving

This is basically all my family did when we weren't eating, and a little bit when we were eating also.

Cosby Sweaters

This Thanksgiving the fam fam gathered around, much like this painting I took a photo of at the Columbia Open Studios. Unlike this gathering, we did not wear Cosby sweaters.

Columbia University MFA Open Studios

I went to the Columbia MFA Open Studios on Sunday. There was ALOT of crappy crap, but there were a speckling of nice pieces. I liked this one enough to take a video. It just didn't make sense, not in motion.

The Fantasy

I went to go check out Jamie Hayon's "The Fantasy" collection with Lladro at the Lladro store in the Manhat.
IT WAS AWESOME!!!!
I was completely in LOVE with his shoes for Camper (which all the very attractive and attentive servers were sporting) and these Lladro pieces were no different. Totally creepy, and I mean that in the best way ever.
At the party the guests had to walk up to the third level, which meant passing through the second level of the store. The floor was blacked out but I could see the "normal" Lladro pieces, silently and perhaps sadly sitting in the shadows, wishing for the glamor and fame they know they will never have.

Oh those summer days

I remember walking through SoHo, WITHOUT a coat, loving on these wonderful days with a a few moments of free time I managed to squeeze out of my work day.
