McCarren Park Concerts

I went, for the first time ever, to McCarren Park to see a concert in their MASSIVE GINOURMOUS POOL. Let me tell you a little story about how it is the biggest hip fashion exhibition ever. I took alot of photos. Below are several fashion do's, fashion don'ts and a fashion maybe. I didn't label them (except for the maybe) because I'm no hater. Kinda.

Below: Fashion Maybe...

Then after waiting in the disgusting heat, terribile opening band with an obnoxious lead singer, and the blazing sun, the Black Lips went on. They were pretty good, but I really have enjoyed them more at Williamsburg Hall of Music. I was also exhausted and the idea of thrashing around in a sweaty crowd under that sun made my headache get a little stronger. They did throw toilet paper around into the crowd which looked really nice.

Peter, Bjorn and John are a DJ

Actually I think it was just Bjorn, but I can't be so sure. Since I don't regurlary hang out with them, I can't tell them apart just by looking at them. It's like twins... or triplets... who all look different...
Anyways, they (him?) dj-ed at Le Royale. I danced. All that jazz. It wasn't the best DJ set, but I didn't hate it.

Brooklyn Museum First Saturday

Sura and I picked up with our First Saturday parties, which coincide with the Brooklyn Museum's first Saturdays. We pranced around the museum, and since there were no new openings (or there were but I didn't notice them) we just checked out the old stuff.

Ghada Amer's tribute to Josef Albers.
Judy Chicago's Dinner Party (I've only seen it a million times)

Ratters

When I moved back to Brooklyn, I was reminded as to how much of a staple cats in corner stores are. A good cat is worth its weight, it keeps the store rat free...and are adorable, like this one, lounging on the magazines on a nice summer's day.

wood paneling

I kinda wish I had this car. Not that I wish I had a car. I mostly hate cars, and I don't get why people covet them. But if I was a car coveter, I would want this one, I lurve wood paneling.

That time we stalked Daniel Vosovic

We were at Happy Endings, and Katie exclaims "Hey! Isn't that Daniel Vosovic?!" And I said "I don't know, let's find out. Quick! He's going outside!"
In the maylay Katie broke-de-broke her very expensive sandals. AND we didn't even get a really good stalker photo (which I took by pretending to "take" a picture of Katie with him in the background.)

There were also alot of balloons at Happy Endings, I don't know why, but I lurved it. Black balloons, black like my soul...

Now pretend you're a Misshape

When I'm not behind the camera, the picture changes a little bit. Sura, Katie and I went to the Hiro Ballroom last night. I'm hungover today!
