Outta townahs!
So when Emily and Evan came to make a NY visit- I was very excited to show them my home 'hood, the BK! Emily is totes in love with the city, but Evan is on the fence, so my job was to help him fall head over heels with the place.
They got a taste of my apt, Prospect Heights, the Park, Park Slope, and the long wait for the F train. We were waiting so long, and since they were en route to meet a friend, they called using-get this- the phone in the subway station! A NY First! Even I've never done that!
TONIGHT- Fashion Week's last night... can I make it? We shall seeee...

Night Time Park Party
THIS GUY IS A PARTY CRASHER!
That is- if you can crash a party in a public park. Agathe and I threw a party for her return a New York de Paris in Prospect Park. Prospect Park is one of my favorite places to hang out- party or no party.Factoid- Frank Law Olmstead, designer of both Prospect and Central parks preferred Prospect Park. Because it is the ballerest.
Also- I was wearing the best outfit. I just bought those suspender pants (over alls?) that day at the Buffalo Exchange, and was SO excited about them. Red White and Blue is my fav color combo when it comes to fashion.

I injured my neck and spent half the party lying in the grass, but I love the grass, so it was aight.

Obviously the park is a great solution to "where to party?" You can invited unlimited amounts of people, there is a huge ass amount of space to dance, run, crazy go nuts, etc. And just as long as you are discrete and not an raving asshole you can totes drink your wine.

Midnight Picnic
In case you haven't noticed, I just got a brand new camera. It's a week old today, I don't quite know how to use it but I'm having fun practicing.
Agathe, my favorite Frenchy, and her good friend Caroline, came to my place for dinner after their USA road trip. They have now been to more places in the states than I have (though I can honestly say I have ZERO interest in going to Vegas, ever) and regaled me with stories about their adventures.
We took our delicious food to Prospect Park and had a midnight picnic, since the weather has been so fine. (Can I get next to dat?)
I highly recommend these, bring some wine, and a blanket and sit in the park. It's so lovely and fun. The best accessory for these kind of events though, are amazing French girls, and mine are leaving today (tear!) so I'll have to figure out a way to reinvent the event!
And of course since my camera is just a brand new toy, we played with the long exposure.

Nora-rigonals

Alex really wanted to do a photo shoot- and I feed my narcissism from time to time...
Considering I live in an amazing area near all sorts of cool places to take pictures, we had a blast. AND I was able to finally document some of the fashions I've been working on. Please fawn over all my "Nora-rigonals" as Alex dubbed them.
I picked out some of my favorite photos from the shoot.
So much fun.

I saw a Port-a-Potty in the distance and joked about taking a picture there. But Alex thought it was a brilliant idea- and thus some of my favorite photos came from the grody port-a-potty. It was full...

I'm tooting my own horn, I made all that damn shit, well not the shoes but I did have the good sense to buy those.
DISCLAIMER: I did not make this Property of my Kids shirt. Alex found it in a thrift store in Nebraska.
We both love that the "D" in "kids" is a padlock. MOMZ ON LOCK DOWN.
